AJ2013 - Dream It - Live It

Visitor Days

AJ2013 will provide the opportunity for visitors to come on-site on selected days. There will be several visitor days scheduled for the public to come and experience the atmosphere of this truly great event. These dates are confirmed as January 5, 6 & 7 (Sat, Sun, & Mon).

Future Scout Day

Ever wondered what being a Scout was all about? Well here’s your chance!

Become a Scout for a day on Sunday, 6 January 2013 at the AJ2013 Future Scout Day. Future Scout Day is an opportunity for Cub Scouts to get a small taste of what an Australian Jamboree is all about.

Registrations for days

While we are still to finalise all the details around these days, anyone wishing to attend these days will be required to pre-register.

A registration form will be available closer to the event. To be kept up to date on these activities please return to this page regularly or register to our newsletter.

Transport & Safety Information

There is no pedestrian (foot) or personal vehicle access to the entire AJ2013 site.  The area around the site will be the subject of a Traffic Management Plan including reduced speeds and No Street Parking.

The only way onto the AJ2013 site is by catching a Jamboree Shuttle from specific off-site locations.

All Visitors are strongly encouraged to coordinate car-pooling or bulk transport arrangements for your special day at AJ2013.

Personal vehicles will be parking at off-site locations and Visitors catching Jamboree Shuttles to the site and vice versa.

The off-site car parks are limited in capacity, which is why we strongly encourage car-pooling arrangements to limit the number of vehicles attending.

For those coordinating large numbers of Visitors (friends, Mob, Pack, Troop, Unit, Crew, Group, District, etc) – we encourage you to coordinate a bus with your local provider to transport you to the site. Those who go to this effort will be rewarded.  Your bus – IF PRE-REGISTERED – will be able to drive directly onto the AJ2013 site and drop you all off!  At the end of the day, once your entire party is confirmed to be ready to depart – your bus will be allowed to drive back onto the site and pick you all up.

Coordinating group transport from your home area to the Jamboree and back again sounds like the best option!!  And if you arrange a full bus – it should result in only a small cost per person for a great chance to experience Jamboree life.

PRE-REGISTRATION for all Visitors and group transport vehicles is mandatory. More information re off-site parking location details and the pre-registration option added to this website soon.
